Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles struck energy facilities, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.
