The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, breaking into the secret base, striking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can anticipate learning which characters will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
